A LONG SUMMER 18 September 2008

Hello Readers,

Have you had a good summer

I’ve had adventures and been away, been at Glastonbury, waltzed through Latitude, paraded The Barbican and FINALLY got some sunshine.

I’m now in Syracuse, New York, recording material for my new album. I’m in a converted Methodist Church. It’s full of old Organs, Wurlitzer, Harmoniums etc…

Over the summer, I also took part in a film about ‘Artists in Hackney,’ for the Olympic Handover.

I was busy getting pissed and getting ready to DJ at Kashpoint, forMatthew Glamorre’s 40th. Did anyone manage to see it at the 24 screens put up around the UK?

Have lots to tell you all,
Until next time,
Bishi

Just seen you for the first time on Jonathan Ross and was very impressed. I’d like to hear a lot more so was wondering if you’d released any CDs?

*Bishi Says* - hey Gary - thanks for the message. Yes I have released one album, 2 singles - available online and from iTunes. Also 3 VERY RARE Eps. You can hear the album now - streamed at the top right of this page. All the details and examples of my releases past and present are in the music section of this site. I hope you like them ... Bx

Being a grumpy old lady, I normally switch off at the end of Jonathan’s show when the ‘pop group’ starts up… but I loved the look and sound of you and your band, Bishi, and I hope you continue to find material to keep you vibrant and the public hooked for years to come.

*Bishi Says* - Hi Clemenzia - I am happy you didnt switch off as I am always keen to make new friends - specially grumpy ones as they tend to bring me round if I am burying my head in the clouds. Your message means a lot to me - thankyou. Bx

Was that you in the Amersham Arms queuing for a drink before thecockandbullkid? – the performance on the JR show a week later was awesome!

*Bishi Says* - Hey Stuart - YES that was me - always at the bar. Hic! I really enjoyed that festival and thought she sang brilliantly. I hope they ask me to do it if they do the New Cross thing again.Bx

*Bishi Says* Hey Preya - thanks so much for that - I was a little concerned as I couldnt see the audience at all with the projector beaming straight into my eyes :) I am glad you liked the show and please do feel welcome to come along in the future. Bx
