AWAKEN FIRES…. 10 July 2008

The night playing with The London Symphony Orchestra was one of the most spectacular events. Thanks to all who came, saw, supported and collaborated.

At Glastonbury, I got whacked in the Trash City field, performing on The Dragstrip alongside the wonderful Marissa Carnesky and the ebullient Ebony Bones.

I also found myself being an impromptu judge for the NYC Downlow tent’s Glastonbury Vogue Ball. I was too off my face to know what was going on, but had a great time anyway!!!

I also enjoyd stellar performances from Cantakerous, The Duke Spirit, Ebony Bones, Imagined Village, Martina Topely Bird, Goldfrapp, Amy Winehouse and Neil Diamond.

I encountered a religious experience while watching Leonard Cohen…I was floored, even after lacking three nights sleep.

Alas, the partying didn’t stop there with the anuual Tate Britain Party the day after. I had the pleasure of talking to the lovely Alex Kapranos, of Franz Ferdinand, who told me the band were off to perform in Belgrade!!!! You heard it here first.
