Awe and Inspiration 10 July 2008

The last week has been one of awe and inspiration.

I had the most intense day last week. The morning started as being a guest on Libby Purves’ ‘Midweek.’ I was shitting it! Everyone else had these amazing experiences and all I had were a few disco stories. You feel a bit like that when you are speaking in the middle of an ex-convist turn embroiderer, a surivior of the 7/7 bombings and a philanthropist from the Zimbabwean Jungle.

They were all ace, so inspiring and lovely. Libby is the best. I’ve never met anyone who can make a connection between four strangers and mke them open up and feel totally at ease. I’m her biggest fan!

Next up was the first ever reharsal with The LSO strings….Oh and The Culture show was there filming just to add fire!!

The Strings sound absoloutely amazing. I got interviewed by DJ Nihal, after…I hope I don’t rattle on too much!
I was so tired I got totally pissed up on two bottles of Rose Chamapagne at the launch of ‘Flash’ at the Royal Academy. Look at how happy I am!

There’s a piece in the METRO of me tomorrow…Maybe the tube ride won’t be as bad as usual.

I had a really amazing time looking at the Viktor and Rolf exhibition at the Barbican on Sunday. I could hardly leave:
