Catch me up! 11 November 2009
Hello People of Bishi World,
I’m currently listening to an amazing Radio Clit mix tape, while I type away. I was making a drum’n’bass track screaming like Poly Styrene all afternoon so it’s great to rest my voice!

Anyway…
We’ve mastered the single, B-side and fantastic remixes from the likes of Richard Torry, Jodie Harsh and Earth Pig.
It’s sounding fat! Or should I say Phat, to sound more street?
The B Side is a folk ballad called Salisbury Plain. I was doing some research on traditional folk music and forgot how much I loved the music of Shirley and Dolly Collins.

I produced it from scratch {well nearly all of it,} doing my best impression of early 70s Eno.. Whether I am worthy of an Eno reference is entirely up to the cosmos. Anyhow, Look at how great he looks:

Here are some other Bishi bits I forgot to add to the last update.

I fulfilled my dream of finally getting into Grazia Magazine. I spent a wonderful afernoon with the gorgeous, Lauren Laverne, Ladyhawke and Marina from Marina & The Diamonds. Check me name dropping, eh!
We were all photographed in our finest attire. Mine was a suit I designed with cult-legend Sybil Rouge. The Head-dress was made by Fred Butler. Hair by Mari Ohashi and make up by Viktoria Moskalova.
I was really impressed with `Ladyhawke’s request for a Happy Meal on a high profile magazine shoot, opting out of the regular salad request like the rest of us! Go girl

I also played premiered a PA of One Nation at Jodie Harsh nightclub spectacular ‘Circus.’
Paloma Faith also dj-ed and there was a quite wonderful performance from Scottee. It’s a shame he didb;t sing in this one. I heard him singing as he was swanning around the venue and his voice is glorious!

Here is me with the DRA dancers courtesy of Matthew Brindle from the website MEGA MEGA MEGA. Check it out, there’s some super stuff on there.

Hope you are all doing well.
Until next time,
Bishi
