This unique, one off performance sees two of the worlds most original talents come together in musical harmony and mutual respect. Amongst work from their own albums they will also perform pieces from ancient Sanskrit through Chopin to Disney, a repetoir to delight and confound.
Grammy award nominee Cameron Carpenter is in London to add his mastery to Bishi’s new album ‘Albion Voice’. Exploring themes of British cultural and social identity, isolation and community. The sound is eclectic but coherent moving between rock, electronica, string quartet, piano and church organ.
The Organ, Sitar and voice combine in wonderful resonance, reflecting the instruments’ exotic personalities and the Artists’ enthusiastic approach. Shoreditch Church, lit entirely by candles, provides the perfect atmosphere to savour the sounds, songs and performances – not to mention the aromatic warmth of the mulled wine !

Cameron Carpenter
“Like a meteorite rock star organist Cameron Carpenter is pulling out all the stops with his forward-thinking approach.” MUSO Magazine
Dubbed “The Jewel of Julliard” he is a virtuoso known for his intensely personal and flamboyant, performances. His playing is widely regarded as unmatched, testing the limits of organ technique, particularly with Chopin’s relentless chromatic runs – played only by the feet!
His approach to the organ is unique with a repertoire spanning; original compositions, classical transcriptions, film scores and improvisations on folk, jazz, disco and pop. His use of lighting, projection, colorful concert clothes and ‘self desinged’ organ shoes marks him out as a showman of great ability. His 2008 album ‘revolutionary’ on Telarc records has been nominated for a Grammy.
